"Everything I've read?" We need Katie Couric to ask him what he reads... Can he read?

One of the worst quotes ever leads to one of the best.

Wth, did he not understand how that would sound? McCain not "understanding" torture? Did he hire Sarah Palin's handlers?

Santorum offends my intelligence. Everything he says cannot be taken seriously by anyone. On top of that, he's a lawyer, which makes him the devil's advocate in the flesh. The scary thing about his though is that he has no clue whatsoever what goes on outside the bubble he lives in.

Now he's trying for presidency in 2012. You thought Sarah Palin was a whack job, wait until he repeats his backwards views during his campaign and we'll have to pass the crown.

A potential Presidential Candidate, thick as two short planks, defending torture?! Nobody that evil and stupid would ever become President... wait... you already had one.

How do sane Americans cope with this madness? A comment like that in any other developed country would end an election bid. Crazy.

Someone who has never seen torture or been himself tortured critcizing someone who has (and defying all research into the efficacy, or lack thereof, of torture) - wow?

He is living down to his surname.

I'm sorry, I missed the memo. Have any of the Republicans that been elected in the last election cycle done anything other than attack social issues? How many stories have there been about abortion, gay rights, etc...?

The GOP talks about fiscal responsibility, but won't end corporate welfare to big oil? Won't even talk about raising taxes from historic lows? Won't raise the debt limit unless they get wins against social programs they have hated for decades? (It's blackmail... they have taken the fiscal status of my country hostage and are making demands they could NEVER get if they debated these issues on their merits)

Santorum isn't the idiot making this election about social issues, he's just the idiot actually saying what the GOP has been about for decades.

What's funny is that when Ron Paul does not get the nomination, he will still vote for whatever social issue nut the GOP nominates. Won't you MattS? No chance you'll vote for the guy who actually has turned around a hemoraging economy, got bin Laden, passed health care reform (crappy, but reform none the less), wall st. reform, etc...

Profits before your neighbor's rights. That's how most Republicans vote, even if they say differently.

And really, we all know Obama's just a socialist anyway, right?

    Wow, just WOW.

Make sure you dont have any small animals or drinks in your hand- I VOTED FOR OBAMA IN THE FIRST PLACE.

His State of the Union blasting the supreme court's Citizens United decision was the nail in the coffin for me. Not a chance this guy is getting my vote again.

The right to keep the fruits to your labor is just as important a right as your right to get married. I could rattle off 30 other "rights" the democrats actively aim to suppress that IMO are ALSO just as important as your right to get married.

I've come to that conclusion after reading some of his past statements. Check out his quote about the pedophiliac priests.

    Good- do it again. :)

Please rattle them off. I don't see how Democrats are taking away anyone's right to make a living either. We do live in a society, BTW. Things need to be paid for- especially past bills. We tried it your way since Reagan- doesn't work.

And the Republicans wish to take away a lot more than the right to marry.

Santorum offends the intelligence of algae.

When some day they build the Stupid Hall of Fame in Crawford, Texas, he, Palin and Trump will be the first inductees.

This hold trues for the major Republican players in the U.S. How do we get the idiots to stop voting for them?

That's a tall order. Before you can answer that, you have to answer "How are we going to stop Limbaugh, Fox, Beck, et. al. from filling their heads with bullcrap?"

Obama blasts the Supremes for handing everything short of voting rights to corporations and you think this is a bad thing? If I could vote twice in the same election for the guy, I would. He ain't perfect by far, but the Republicans are practically going to have to engage in two generations worth of eugenics to come up with somebody anywhere near as good as Barack Obama.

Oh, spare me the "Taxes are theft" meme. It's old, it's tired, even Limbaugh has stuck this in his junk drawer next to his Oxycontin.
