Well, if this guy does get elected international relations will be worse than they were after the Bush era.

Many people accuse Obama of not doing a lot of Politics but he gave America something invaluable yet so fragile.

I know everybody says this guy won't get the nomination, but he should be embarrassed to say things like this.

This saddens me. That people of power are still able to be accepted when they express such anti-human and hateful statements.

    What are you referring to?

    Quite true.

As horrible as this is, I've become highly desensitized to this rightwing malevolence propaganda.

It should be obvious from the first sentence.

I had a good chuckle at one comment in the article "Just be happy that he belongs to a dying breed". :D

He's an attention hog, radicalizing his speech to get more exposure. Since he's got no real substance, he just hammers the same idea deeper and deeper. If you throw **** at a wall, some of it is bound to stick.
Everybody knew one - or more - of them was going to use this tactic.

And perhaps you're not as witty as you think you are.

I don't think I'm witty at all. Quite the opposite really, I'm bad at making jokes and most of my witt or humour is either shameless toilet jokes or rehashed stuff I heard or read.

Obama gave America a better public image in the eyes of the international audience.

For some reason I was assuming your remark was in the ballpark of the thread topic.

Next time I won't make such a ridiculous assumption.

    Carry on.

    How is it not?

It was a remark about a presidential candidate and his competitor and a common criticism of his competitor.

If you're seriously trying to have a debate on a 'current' event that is roughly three years old, start or revive such a thread.

It means Rick speaks in tongues.

And a imprisoned Father can be a good parent, as a roll-model, if he stays put.

Even though Santorum isn't likely to get the nomination (though anything is possible) its disturbing that such an openly bigoted, hate filled candidate can make it this far. It speaks to the fact that Santorum is backed by very large numbers of equally bigoted citizens--and that is more depressing than the possibility of his presidency.

Yeah, I get depressed that he is treated as an acceptable candidate by the media. They treat him as just another person to cover and only half heartedly challenge him. If I was in the media, I would totally call him out on his BS and his hypocrisy.

Tonight's (ABC) and Sunday morning (NBC) debates should be interesting.
