Hypocrite seems to be the best word to describe Palin. These are her contractual demands for a speaking engagement. Such a woman of the people.

This, in my Shockingly-O-Meter, ranks in the:

    Shockingly Known/Predictable.

Sarah Palin should save face and go back and lock herself up in Alaska. Appearing in public does her no good, but just further cement into the country's minds, how stupid she really is.

    That's saying it lightly.

    Shame there's not a poll.

As much as I don't like 1/2 Governor Palin, her demands are pretty common for a celebrity.

I think the only real issue becomes whether she is a celebrity or a politician. For now, her demands seem pretty common, and it seems a little petty to attack her for this.

If she starts leaning more towards politician, then I think we need to keep a close eye on the clothes whorse.

(edit) As much as I'd like to see her go away, she's doing a very good job of drawing crowds, raising money, and staying in the public eye. If your job was to advise her in how to stay relevant and in the public eye, what would you have her do differently? I never expected her to still be relevant after the election, and I was wrong. Love her or hate her, you have to give her handlers a lot of credit.

That said- we need Palin in the public eye as much as possible. I don't ever want the US to forget what a fool she is.

More importantly, we should never forget that the leader of the tea party, excuse me, Republican party, a man 72 years and 144 days old (at the time) chose Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Her requests aren't out of the ordinary for a celebrity of her caliber. I'm sure Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian have similar riders.

I would have locked her away to really learn a key issue or two inside and out. Then I would have unleashed her on the speaking circuit. I listened to her speech from the Wine whatever association and she was just awful. Rambling on and not making a whole lot of sense.Lots of silent audience reaction. Her handlers should be shot.

Since when has Paris Hilton ever claimed to speak for and relate to average people? She's rich, she knows it and doesn't care.

You're probably correct. Sorry, those were just the two names that popped in my head when I thought of people who achieved celebrity by associating themselves with the teabaggers.

As much as I can't stand the sight or sound of her, I agree with this. If she goes away for a year or two and then reappears rebranded, the American public will forget how much of a tool she is.

So, if I have to grimace, roll my eyes, and hold myself back from throwing something at the television every time she's on it, I think that's a small price to pay for keeping the real her in people's memories.

Great thread title. Always fun to have the word 'bitch' in a thread title.

Palin's fame and influence are due to her presence as an Anti-Obama, a total opposite to everything Obama stands for. People don't love her so much as they hate Obama, and she has become the standard bearer for those people.

I saw a simliar story on the Guardians app.

While reading a contract for a person like Palin is hardly surprising, I find it amazing that any company or institution would think highly enough of her to bother with the conditions stated. I'm amazed her 15 minutes aren't up yet. She was the singular reason I didn't vote for McCain.

What part of "discarded" contract is misunderstood by dumpster diver?

Thread serves as precedent for subsequent ones against Obama using the exact same offensive titles....

I say go to it. It's been slow around here lately.

Personally, I think the title is as excessive as Palin's contracts.

If the admins didn't want the word "bitch" used, then it would be in the swear filter, so stop complaining about it being used.

She is a no good, spoiled, rotten, worthless lying bitch. Although I do think calling her a bitch is an insult to female dogs everywhere. I know my dog would make a better president than Sarah Palin.
