saving flash

Is there any app out there capable of allowing me to save a photo that is embedded in flash on a web site?

Just screen grab that part of the screen. You can use Cmd-Shift-4 or the Grab program or screencapture from the terminal.

A screenshot as devman said is your best bet. There are multiple ways to you can put content into Flash and if you're looking take that out you'd have to know how it was put in.
