Sorry, they were on sale at NCIX, for the customer appreciation sale, but super limited quantity. They are sold out now (the ncix.ca webstore)

I picked one up in the nick of time :D

Haha I nabbed one of those as well! Number 37 out of 50...they went damn fast.

Not bad considering the 5400 320's are going for $80-110. I was trying to pick up a 5400 for 80$, so I'm happy to move up to 7200 for the same price.

I think NCIX had the Seagate 5400 320s on sale at 65$ last week off from the regular price of 90 or so and they went out fast!

Ya true, but the 7200RPM is reg. $180, and the 5400RPM is only $90 reg....so the latter isnt as good of a deal :)

Plus, i did some research and looked at the bench marks, and the seagate 7200 is the best in class for 320gb, it even beats teh hitachi 7200rm drive in most of the tests. The 5400rpm seagate drive did, however, beat all the drives in 1 test, the power consumption test.

So we go the best drive on the market for a skookem deal! :D

    Score!

Got an email from NCIX this morning saying it's ready for pickup..perhaps a Friday night project to try and take apart my beloved MBP.

    Same Price - Compu2000

I had gotten the NCIX newsletter after they sold out of the drive. I had been checking the site on Wednesday night, but that particular drive wasn't on the list. I had been keeping an eye open for a drive at the same price and something did come up.

The Seagate Momentus 7200.3 320 GB 2.5 in drive is the same price at Compu2000, $79.99. Right now they have 27 in stock at that price. I just got one. Also, when you checkout your cart, there is currently an $8.99 shipping promo you can choose to ship it. You can find it here: http://www.compu2000.com/product/4680/ST9320421AS/Seagate/.

Another option is if the drives are still available on Compu2000, you can try to do a pricematch with NCIX.

I've bought stuff from Compu2000 before and I have no complaints. Same with their 8.99 shipping promo.
