just found this today on kdx found it rather amusing:
o and one more...
Thanks Ambitious Lemon!!!!!
but... I have a simple question... where the hell is that preference panel?????????????????
Damn that's funny! But there must be a bug; when I launch IE, the preferences change to "Spinning beachball every 2 minutes"
That paper clip option is a good one
HAHAHA! Those are grrrrrrreat! If only they were real..
Oh well. Also, the windoze one so so obviously British made. If it were more universal I would buy it more.
That's good. But did you know the system stats add up to 105.1%?
Someone not know how to add, or am I missing something?
i took that to be % of total of each individual task. like when you use a process priority changer in osx and you can drag the widget from 0 to 100.
why does everybody call it a beach ball? its a cookie!!!
no, its a color wheel (2D spinning disc)
But why would you have 'Actual User Processes' at 22.8%, to me that would be 100%.
I think its supposed to add up to 100%.
the beachball comes from when it was 4 triangular-ish shapes in the shape of a ball: alternating black and white.
the best secret preference was the "allow me to type while auto-save is in progress" or something
I wish we could make that menu on windows computer and actually make them do what they say.
ha ha ha!!!
it's a beachball!!!
that is funny....thanks for making me laugh today!
You sure, I really think its a colored disk it looks like the old spinning wheel, just with colors.
actully it is..
a spinning disk from NeXT OS
know it's just supposed a multi-colored wheel like the black & white one in OS 9....I just like saying it's a beachball...
I don't care what it is. I don't like it.
The only that I KNOW WHAT IT REALLY IS....ANNOYING. I hate that stupid thing.
I also hate that I cant remember the answer to the riddle...what are the three words in english that end in gry. Angry, hungry " ". WHAT'S THE THIRD??? I cant remember!!!
Research from the Oxford English Dictionary, Simon & Schuster's Webster's New World Dictionary, and the G.C. Merriam Company gives us this list (of other words that end in gry):
aggry: A glass bead found buried in the ground in Africa. A word of unknown origin. Seemingly always used attributively, as in aggry beads.
braggry: A variant form of braggery.
conyngry: An obsolete dialectal variant of conyger, itself an obsolete term meaning 'rabbit warren'.
gry: The smallest unit in Locke's proposed decimal system of linear measurement, being the tenth of a line, the hundredth of an inch, and the thousandth of a ('philosophical') foot. Also the grunt of a pig, an insignificant trifle, or a verb meaning to roar.
iggry: Egyptian colloquial Arabic pronunciation of ijri: 'Hurry up!', brought back after the First World War by members of British and Australian forces who had fought in Egypt.
mawgry: from Old French: being regarded with displeasure.
meagry: Having a meager appearance.
nangry: A variant form of angry.
podagry: Dodder, or the condition of a plant infested with it.
puggry: A variant form of puggree, a light scarf wound around a hat or helmet to protect the head from the sun.
There is no third common word that ends in gry...it is an old riddle.
hehehehe....thanks a lot man, you made my night
