UPDATE: I screwed up and left the tickbox checked in System Preferences > App Store which allows updates for Beta software. I meant to turn that off a while ago, and forgot. Unchecking that box no longer shows that update for me.

Well, made the mistake of allowing this update to happen. Now, I'm stuck with only one monitor working, because it won't allow the Nvidia Web Driver to take effect.

I even booted up with a backup boot disk with 10.13.6 prior to the update, and it still won't let the web driver run. That's really weird.

I booted up with an older 10.10.5 boot disk, and it magically works again, so I guess I'll clone my main boot disk back to Yosemite, and update my way back to High Sierra. Not sure how to get there without this new, messed up issue. It said it was a public beta update. Why in the world would they put that in the regular update section? Clearly, it's not working right.

Public Beta for High Sierra? I didn't know it existed still.. Betas have bugs from time to time so not surprised. The latest update I received through the App Store was SU 2020-002 on March 24th

Yeah, it must be something else going on.
I set my boot disk back to 10.10.5 - - everything works correctly.
Updated to 10.11.6 - - everything works correctly.
Updated to 10.13.6 - - jacked up still, even though this SU 2020-003 isn't in there.
Updated to 10.13.6 with SU 2020-002, still jacked up.
It was fine for a week, until this update happened this morning. I'm on 144.0.0.0 firmware, running proper web drivers in every instance, but when I try to go from default macOS graphics driver to Nvidia web driver, it says "restart for changes to take effect," then it just boots back to default macOS graphics driver.

It's making me very angry.

Well, I may have got it sorted. I forgot to try the old NVRAM reset. It booted up into my pre-SU 2020-003 backup boot disk properly after doing the PRAM reset. Why I didn't try that sooner? Anyway, I'm cloning that backup to my main boot for a final test, and it should be fine.

Have you fixed it?
I too updated to 2020-002 update and Apps stopped working. But when I downgraded to Yosemite using internet recovery and then upgraded to HS and Mojave without the 2020-002 update, the system is still malfunctioning! Final cut pro app is still Not working even after downgrading.
What might have Happened? Any workaround or tip?
