I see a ton of posters who state they got a MacBook Air because it makes traveling for work a lot easier. I'm just curious, what is your profession and what are the main causes for travel?

Edit - I'm an analyst for a major financial company in NYC and I'm pretty much glued at my desk 24/7 (as are all of my co-workers). If I'm lucky, I get to travel maybe once a year in order to train my counterparts in other cities within the company.

IT Auditor. I travel because its important to meet with people face to face when you're trying to get detailed and/or sensitive information gathered quickly, and we have offices in many different locations.

i am chief director of the most secretive clandestine organization in the world. and i have a 15" MBP, mainly because i can't be bothered to haul around a 17" and a 13" isn't powerful enough for my gaming addiction.
