Selecting specific file types in Automator

I am using automator to convert a massive amount of .ppt files to .pptx files to help me save space on the HD, but one big draw back is that automator doesn't delete the duplicate files that end up appearing. Is there a way I can tell automator to grab all the old .ppt files only and have it move them to the trash?
