Selling my iPhone 4 32GB - Should I request an unlock from AT&T or sell as-is?

So I know a few years back AT&T finally started offering to unlock phones that were fully paid and out of contract.

I ordered a new iPhone 5c this morning, and after I pick it up later today I intend on listing my iPhone on Amazon for sale.

Will I have a better chance of selling it if it's unlocked? Can I get more for it if it's unlocked? Or should I just leave it tied to AT&T as is?

    Thanks.

I'd like to know this too as I'm in the same boat - trying to sell an iPhone 4 32GB

It could add some value to the phone. Any time I've sold an iPhone, and unlocked it, I got more offers because it appeals to people that buy phones here and send them to other countries (or at least that is what the Indian and Asian communities around my college do).

Get it unlocked, it should be easy with AT&T if you already fulfilled your contract.

Yeah, contract ended back in October of last year.

Sweet, guess I'll fill out the form later today.
