Well this is frightening. Whether you pirate software/media of any kind or not, this should still bother you. The government is essentially giving themselves permission to seize control of domains that provide a service they don't like, and if the domain isn't in their jurisdiction this will allow them to demand ISPs block all routes to those sites. What's next? Websites that bad mouth the president? Pages that disagree with general government decisions? China currently has completely control over what is and isn't available in their country; as far as I'm concerned, this is one step closer to the same thing here. Original story here.
