Finally? Republican representatives have been trying to defund PP for months, and Obamacare for years. They know it will never work so long as a Democrat is in office, but they continue to do it just to appease the fanatics. It's especially aburd when you realize how much a single day in congress costs. Countless tax payer dollars wasted by the supposedly fically responsible party.

Make Obama veto the bill! Let Democrats take the hit when elections roll around. That's why we Conservatives wanted Boehner out: he wasn't putting up a fight.

They probably want to make sure the shooting victims get the opportunity to pay out of pocket and shop around for the best deals at different hospitals as they are bleeding out.

Boehner had nothing to do with what the Senate did or didn't do. Under him the house voted more times than I want to count to repeal the ACA.

Edit: Here is a thread about the 31st time that Republicans voted to repeal the ACA. That was 3 and a half years ago while Boehner was speaker, and there have been more votes since then.

The hardline conservatives they're trying to appease were never going to vote Democrat to begin with.

The majority of Americans still support Planned Parenthood.

Edit: oops, hit the wrong quote button.

no people will see republicans taking their insurance away from them. taking millions off insurance is not going to bring you votes.

This whole post really makes me want to puke.

"Let Democrats take the hit when elections roll around."

Right. Take the hit when millions of anti-abortion zealots jump up and down with bloody baby parts in their teeth, chanting.

It's so past the time to remove politicians (and their rabid supporters) from the right of a woman to deal with her own body. Yes, her own body. Or haven't you noticed that that's the way it works.

ya more and more keep using it. it does have issues that need ironed out but it is not failing. I finally had to bite the bullet and get insurance I am not getting any younger. 20 years ago it would have cost me 600 a month or more. now 150 for good coverage.

And yet most western industrialized nations have national health care. Somehow the USA cannot afford a similar program? Nah, much better to keep profit, expensive and complicated bureaucracy, and inflated costs remain the main driver of health care in the USA. Bravo America!

I think it is the fear of government and freedom that is the big issue.

Paris had 127 dead, and the Very Next Day, Obama released 5 detainees from Guantanamo Bay and repatriated them to Saudi Arabia.

There is no rule that prevents both the Senate from being morons and Obama from being worthless. It's not like a mutually exclusive contest.

    And rightfully so.

You have to be a blistering idiot not to fear the government and not to be concerned about freedom.

A link would be good. The right wing nut job sites all point back to Fox as their only concrete reference. I'll just post the Fox link. I'm using Fox so that you won't claim that a liberal source omitted something. It seems in several of these cases, the US was looking for a stable country that would accept them. The timing is coincidental.

No, what you should fear is any group that gets too much power. Yes that can be government, but it can also be corporations. What you need is a balance between the two.
