Series 3 battery goes dead after 8 hours, health says 100%

Several days ago, my series 3 cellular watch started having very short battery life. It will not even last a day before going dead, where it was able to run 2 to 3 days between charges. I verify that the charge is at 99% when I remove it from the charger, but it will be down to 50% within 4 hours. Checking battery "health" shows 100%. It was recently updated to version 8.5.1. I also notice that it is noticeably slightly warm when it comes off of the charger (using the magnetic disk charger which came with it).

Any ideas what might be going on with it? Any chance it is related to the new firmware update?

Try unpairing and then setting the Watch up as a new Watch instead of using a backup. That fixed battery life issues for myself and a few friends.

FWIW, the most recent update zapped me AW se battery life. But I also repaired it recently, so that could be related.
