You would have to pay Uk t mobile a fee to unlock the iPhone before it will operate in the states.

The iPhone 4s 16gb typically sells for £500 sterling on pay as you go which is around $782.

The iPhone 4 8gb or 16gb is marginally cheaper.

Before you ask, always try to research. Simple answer is NO.

Looking at the TMobile UK website,

That price is based on the 24 month plan...
Just £41.00 a month

Phone cost £29.00
Plan length 24 months

We can only accept orders from persons aged 18 years or older and who are residents of the United Kingdom.

We reserve the right to limit the number of orders per person and/or per household.

All the products and services shown on our website are for new customers only, unless we let you know otherwise.

Your order will only be accepted if you supply us with a UK delivery address.

Its so cheap because you have to take it with a contract. Probably over 24 months.

Did you actually think that an iphone would be that much cheaper in the UK?!

I would suggest a nice simple nokia so you can play a nice game of snake.

but necessary in this circumstance.

The OP would have wasted a huge amount of time with this until he realised it was in fact tied to a contract.
The OP would have hit a stone wall when coming to the stage of supplying a Uk delivery address.

This is a user to user help forum and thats what they asked for - help -

We've all asked 'noob' questions in our time on here and other forums.

Occasionally a person can get caught up in the excitement of obtaining a deal and lose a little focus on the fine print.

Telling them they should settle on another make of phone, and that the iPhone is not for them is harsh and non constructive.

I think the OP will thank me in the long run.

Anyway, to each his own

Maybe you could look on crag list for a good deal but obviously be careful that you purchase a good working legit iPhone, or perhaps a co worker will be looking soon to upgrade to the new iPhone or from a 4 to 4s so you could purchase their older iPhone !

Best advice is to always meet the seller at your local sprint / verizon store etc so that the staff there can verify all is ok, and perform the line changes etc.

In the Uk we have high street stores that deal in used cellphones that offer good quality used phones with their own 12 month warranties added onto the phones.

Good luck with your search for an iPhone.

You called me an A@s... Seconds later you deleted it.

Are you saying that you didnt write that?... Think very carefully before you answer. This is a forum. Everything is recorded and e-mails are sent to users when someone quotes you with exactly what they have said.
