Not to worry. Our fake news friends have distracted everybody with their story that Trump compromised an intel source with the Russians.

I wonder if the timing is related to this story.

Trump allegedly told Russia something in private that could possibly reveal a source. Or the DNC may have murdered someone who was leaking info to Wikileaks. We'll see which movie people want to watch by the end of the day today.

If Twitter is the answer then I guess the Seth Rich movie wins.

Big surprise here, but that would be the one I would want to watch. The other one has already been made, Homeland Season 6, it wasn't that great.

And yet Seth Rich's family denies all this:

You are being fed fake news. By the people who pretty much invented it. Good luck to you. You'll need it.

Seth Rich's family aren't law enforcement or investigators. Family members don't telepathicallymajagically know everything about everyone in the family. I do not give a **** what they think. Their opinions are no more insightful than some random hobo on the street.

This whole story could be a wild conspiracy theory. And I'm not exactly surprised that the family is denying it at this point. But if we're willing to ignore unnamed sources and believe those on the inside who deny the claims then perhaps you'd be willing to extend that same latitude to Trump today? Kinda doubt it though.
Verrrrrrrry interesting quote from the family:
“Even if tomorrow, an email was found, that is not a high enough bar of evidence to prove any interactions, as emails can be altered and we’ve seen that those interested in pushing conspiracies will stop at nothing to do so.”
In other words, they say this story is false and even if someone can prove otherwise then the proof is fake even before we see it. That is a profound and paranoid statement.

It is decidedly on the point.

The person who is making these claims also claimed to be the investigator hired by the family. He obviously is not. And even if he was, doesn't he have a duty to inform his clients (the grieving family) before blabbing the story to a Washington TV station?

Why would the family deny the story? They, presumably, want to know the truth about what happened to their son. To hold whoever is responsible for his death accountable. If there was any validity in the assertions this investigator (and paid Fox News contributor) is making - surely they would be the first to know, and the first to acknowledge it.

These aren't even "Unnamed Sources". It's an ex-police, private investigator who put his face and name out there to blast this story out to the world, despite it going against his "vow of silence" contract with the family.

    - Retired police officer, now private investigator.
    - Goes public on camera and uses his own name, Rod Wheeler, and forever smears it if is he is wrong.
    - Knows that he'll get attacked by the entire rabid establishment for releasing this information.
    - He has known this information for months. Finally can't take it anymore and breaks the contract with the insane family, to get the truth out there, at great personal costs and risks to him.

This is not an unnamed source (aka "someone that a yellow Washington Post reporter made up in their head"). And he deserves to be fully heard. Especially since Wikileaks offers $20,000 dollars for solving Seth Rich's murder. And Julian Assange named Seth Rich as his hinted source in a dutch interview. An inside leak is far more plausible than "RUSSIANS UNDER EVERY BED!!!". Especially since the DNC shadily refused to let the FBI investigate their computers.

It's the statement of a family who are either A) willfully ignorant to not confront the painful truth, B) dumb, C) paid off/threatened into silence. My vote is on A. They're simple minded and want to just grieve without uncomfortable, complicated extra layers on top. Doesn't make them right. I pity them.

This has already been explained in the news: He is not allowed to talk to the press. He broke that contract of silence and went out with his real name and role, at great personal costs and risks to him (he can now get sued), to get the truth out there, because the family are being ignorant obstructionists who don't give a damn about the truth.

Assange implies murdered DNC staffer was leak source:

May 16 report: Slain DNC staffer was in contact with WikiLeaks <-- You can see Rod Wheeler's face on camera. He looks DAMN serious about this. DEAD serious. He's pissed off and putting his face and name on the line.

LOL - this was a statement from Brad Bauman... not Seth's parents.
Brad Bauman is a political consultant working for Democratic candidates for office and progressive causes.

Clearly the Democrats have provided this communications director to do damage control. You really think he's going to admit anything?

Look a little deeper... you're being misled.

    Article: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...contact-with-wikileaks-investigator-says.html

The family has been sensitive to speculation that Rich could have leaked emails damaging to the DNC since he was murdered during the height of the presidential campaign in a case that remains unsolved. Wheeler and the federal investigator insist that there is evidence to back their claims.

Rich was fiercely patriotic, say family members. (Rich family)

An FBI forensic report of Rich's computer -- generated within 96 hours after Rich's murder -- showed he made contact with WikiLeaks through Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker, and director of WikiLeaks who was living in London at the time, the federal source told Fox News.

“I have seen and read the emails between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” the federal investigator told Fox News, confirming the MacFadyen connection. He said the emails are in possession of the FBI, while the stalled case is in the hands of the Washington Police Department.

The revelation is consistent with the findings of Wheeler, whose private investigation firm was hired by a third party on behalf of Rich’s family to probe the case.

“My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” Wheeler said. “I do believe that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a shelf at the DC police or FBI headquarters.”

The federal investigator, who requested anonymity, said 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments between Democratic National Committee leaders, spanning from January 2015 through late May 2016, were transferred from Rich to MacFadyen before May 21.

On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party’s presidential nominee. That controversy resulted in Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigning as DNC chairperson.

WikiLeaks leader Julian Assange has stopped short of identifying Rich as the source of the emails, but has taken a keen interest in the case, and has not denied working with Rich.

“WikiLeaks has decided to issue a US$20k reward for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich,” the organization announced.

Assange has not returned a series of recent emails from Fox News about Rich. MacFadyen, who was considered a mentor by Assange, died of lung cancer on Oct. 22 at age 76.

Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department has no suspects and no substantial leads as to who the killer or killers may be, sources close to the investigation said. Metropolitan Police, including the police chief, have refused to discuss the case, despite requests from Fox News dating back 10 months.

The department released a statement on the case saying it remains an active investigation and that detectives are working with Rich's family.

"If there are any individuals who feel they have information, we urge them to call us at (202) 727-9099 or text us at 50411," read the statement. "The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information on this case that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible."

The FBI’s national office declined to comment, but sources said the bureau provided cyber expertise to examine Rich’s computer.

D.C. police have announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of Rich’s killer. Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman has offered a separate $130,000 reward.

So now there are two law enforcement sources coming out: Rod Wheeler (private investigator), and a federal investigator confirming the statement that Seth Rich was WikiLeaks' source. Goodbye Russia. Hello DNCrooks.

Perhaps because the person who killed their son held that same gun to their heads and told them how they need to behave or else. I mean if we're going to believe that he was murdered because of what he was leaking then that seems like the logical next step.

    That... wasn't really my point.

The point was that some stories can be used to keep others from getting exposure. For instance, only Fox has reported this development. And it is a very interesting development.

More things that make you go "Hmmm...":

    • Democrats want gun control. One of their staffers is shot to death. He should have been their perfect poster boy for "We lost a dear friend, we must ban guns!". But they preferred silence.
    • If this was just a "murder-robbery" (where nothing was stolen from his corpse, heh, not even his wallet), why did the FBI go to his house and confiscate his laptop with his emails? How many other people get shot in the street, and then the FBI travels to their home and confiscates their laptops? Yeah... nothing fishy here.

Let the investigation on Russia continue. It will be absolutely laughable once it comes back to show the collusion and leaks were tied back to a DNC Staffer.

If true, Wikileaks could offer proof. Why don't they?
