So we have a long quote from the BBC.
But tell me, what do you think
On my news threads, I usually leave the story there unbiased, and then participate in the discussion, if one develops.
Like throwing a bone into a dog pit
It seems to work well enough, as this will clearly be a hot topic.
The mice chose to be gay.
lol ... my dog will hump anybody ... he doesn't care what gender you are
or even if you are a dog
What on earth does this mean? What is Humans Sexual behaviour in mice?
It's like a title heading on the BBC story. I'll fix the quote.
How long before we see some wacko trying to inject gay people with serotonin to "cure" them?
This did run through my mind as I read it.
I think that this is an interesting point. Would any of the homosexuals who visit this forum willingly take a "cure" for homosexuality?
If my own preference were the one oppressed in mainstream religion, and I had limited rights because of it, I think that I would change, provided there were no adverse side effects.
I am curious though how much serotonin is needed…
Going to the gym and doing some strenuous exercise (apparently) raises my serotonin levels.
Can't say I feel remotely hetero afterwards.
On the contrary…
Edit: So much for serotonin levels, but my spelling is ******.
I cannot see that happening ... I am not Gay myself and all the Gay people I know or have met ... like being Gay.
I would imagine if SSRIs made gay people straight we'd have heard by now. We certainly hear about how they make many people not want to have sex with anybody at all.
Thats probably because at the end of the gym session, you're in a hot room, fully of sweaty, barely dressed men. And a few old guys just wondering around wearing nothing at all.
1. Why should anyone's religious views influence me?
2. My rights (where I live) are not severely limited;
3. I am happily married to a man I love…
Why would I want to change?
Lots of serotonin in bananas. Bananas are definitely not straight. Ergo, this science is flawed. Where's my Nobel prize?
Oh no! The Catholic club will be all for this.
They are quite fruity, in fact. The Committee cannot deny you.
This makes perfect sense from the perspective of the canon of St. Douglas.
I was being sarcastic, see liquid cosh or the Soviet/U.S./Chinese trick cyclists.
Wasn't really responding to you so much as anticipating where this is going.
Okey dokey, I can see where it's going as well.
