iPhone Shared album not syncing properly on iPhone, but shows up fine on all other devices

I have a XR, not jailbroken, and a shared album where my wife and I put pictures of our kid. If I add a photo, it shows up for everyone fine. If my wife adds a photo, it shows up everywhere (her phone, my iPad, my Macbook Pro) but doesn't show up on my iPhone. Any ideas how to fix this?

I resolved the issue by turning off shared albums and turning them back on.

Yep, when in doubt, toggle. 👍🏻

Update.. doesn't look like it's syncing. Toggling it on/off forced it to populate with everything current at that time, but new photos aren't being synced.

Any update on how to solve this? I also tried turning Shared Albums On/Off, but it still doesn't sync properly between my laptop and my phone. Really frustrating - would love to know if anyone's solved it!
