Absolutely. Open 'preferences' in iTunes on your iMac, then select the 'Sharing' tab. Check 'Share my library on my local network', then either share your entire library (you'll be able to select the desired playlist within it) or select 'Share selected playlists' and check the playlist you have in mind.

On your MBP, open 'preferences' in iTunes then check 'Look for shared libraries'. Your iMac's library (or just the selected playlist) should show up under the 'Shared' heading on the left side of the iTunes window on your MBP. Select the shared library/playlist and you're in business.
