I've gave myself a serious headache and gotten nowhere on this.

I have an iBook and a desktop PC; both computers have dual monitor capability. I have 2 17" CRT monitors - we'll label them M1 and M2.

I want to be able to control both computers from one usb keyboard/trackball set. That's the easy part. A usb KVM switch solves that. Except...

I also want to share the M2 monitor as the second monitor for both computers. However, I'd like to be able to control the iBook from the keyboard while both CRTs are switched to the PC. For example:

Television on M1 connected to the PC; monitoring a program running on the PC and visible on M2; while typing a paper on the laptop.

I'm going to go find the aspirin bottle and hope somebody can figure this one out for me. :)

I'm thinking maybe two KVM switches; one for the keyboard/trackball and the other for the M2 monitor???
