After all this time... carefully making sure every application was installed after a fresh reboot and even not moving to the 2.0.2 firmware... she crashed and had to be restored for the very first time.

Just the night before I was thinking how mighty clever I was for taking good care of my phone while others around me had gone through a great many restores... but alas... during one application install... she crashed... and never came back up (stuck on Apple logo). Five hours later, she's back up through a restore. Even the backup didn't restore it right... blast.. even after all those hours watching the thing backup.

I don't know what I'm doing, but whatever it is, it appears to be working. No crashes, no restores, barely an app freezing. All I do is turn off my iPhone at night, and it works very well. Sorry to hear about your trouble.

I have had no probs with my 3g although its only been 3 days. But i did have problems with 2.0 and 2.0.1 with my first gen iphone.
