There's just been another shooting in Florida.
Hoping and praying the gunman didn't kill anyone.
Last night's shooting at Pulse in Orlando apparently shows ties to Islamic terrorism, according to the FBI answering questions on TV just now.
Some form of explosive device(s) also found, being examined now by bomb squad...
20 innocent people just shot dead at a night club in Orlando. I'm sure it will get its own thread, but I have no interest in starting it.
Edit: looks like someone already did
@smacrumors made good points in the other Orlando shooting thread he started. I guess guns alone are to blame regarding this Muslim killing gays at the night club.
I was shocked to hear the FBI say that there were indications the attacker was an Islamic extremist. I can't imagine them saying that without proof - particularly this early in an investigation.
I feel sorry for gay muslims... I doubt many would speak up. I'd received a death threat in the past from a muslim, but back then I thought the gay movement wasn't just shrouded hedonism using heteronormative ideals (marriage, monogamy) to get passed while otherwise telling everyone else off camera that marriage is outdated/irrelevant, how it's only about their personal pleasure, taking no responsibility when spreading diseases, and the rest of it. Many claim to be Democrats but they don't even make good Libertarians...

Especially with Obama always wrongly cited as being Muslim from the GOP, I wonder how they will spin this issue?

I'd love to see you unspin Islam's modern-day beheadings of gays.
Say what now? Sounds like you're saying gay people are only in it for the hedonistic excitement, and that they don't actually have feelings for each other, and thus it's all a sham.
America is a third world country with a first-world GDP.
Why be obtuse?
What part of America executed gays last night?
Shooter was a US Citizen from Port St. Lucie.
Regardless, my comment was more about the frequency we see these events vs the rest of the world, rather than this single event.
Ah, the ol' Nothing To See Here.
Best move along now.
This attitude is exactly why the US society will continue to degrade and devolve, since nobody is ever interested in acknowledging or trying to fix problems.
Only when those problems involve gays and illegals.
Welcome to Hussein and Hillarys all welcoming, no limits, America.
Hillary will "love" them up...
You've got a good point.
20 gays were publicly executed last night by a Muslim.
No doubt the gay community agrees with you - that people should look past it. Look at other things. Other, more politically comfortable problems.
I'd rather wait for evidence.
I agree that the Islamic community needs to do a better job of tackling extremism.
That said easy legal access to weapons without strong checks allows lone wolves to do stuff like this.
Worked well in Paris.
It's like in Syria, where the access to animal cages, gasoline and smartphones is too easy, and caused Muslims there to burn a caged Jordanian pilot. Alive. On air.
Take away these implements - the matches, the cages, the guns - and the Muslim "lone wolfs" become obsolete.
There aren't lone wolves in Syria.
Paris has large ungoverned areas full of Muslims. And the Paris attackers weren't lone wolves.
The problem with America, and America alone is that if 1-2 people decide they want to do something horrific like this there isn't much the community or government can do about it.
In Europe if you want a gun either you have to give a good reason - which forces you to join a gun club or take up hunting seriously - or you go to someone illegally selling guns who likely wants to sell to drug dealers not terrorists as it'll attract too much attention.
My respects go to the families that lost and the wounded. I'm sick of seeing stories like this.
Never heard of a religion beheading people how does that work exactly? Does the Koran swing a sword?
Good point, steve knight. You're right.
It's Muslims beheading gays.
Thanks for the correction.
