    Canada, eh?
I think that's a great idea. I'm constantly bombarded by innocuous-sounding requests to accept game invitations and other fun things which were sent to me by my friends, only to be told "You must allow this application to have access to your profile and all your information" first. Then, the first step after granting the app permission is often to try to spam all your friends (and this isn't always optional!), which perpetuates the cycle.

I'm very selective about which apps I hit "OK" to, and thus end up ignoring a bunch of those, but I know a ton of people who will happily click along with anything and are leaking their personal information left, right, and center.

So yes, I think some sort of screening process on Facebook apps is a GREAT idea, and I'm actually surprised it's taken this long for someone to figure this out!
