    Hi guys,

Just looking for some thoughts. I can get the 1TB Fusion, or get the 256GB flash and add space to it later as needed (whether that be SSD or HDD).

    I'm mainly wondering three things:

    1. Is a 256GB SSD going to be enough for running both OS X and Windows with Bootcamp? I would imagine that I'd just split the drive evenly down the middle
    2. Would OS X and Windows be able to read from the same external drive or can they not be partitioned like internal ones?
    3. Does OS X cope well with external drives? As in, can they be just as fast and integrated into the OS experience as internal ones if you buy one with the appropriate specs?

Theoretically it seems like it'd be smarter to go with the flash drive for now, but if this will make things annoying to use I'd rather go with the 'just works' fusion solution.

usb 3.0 and thunderbolt will give you very fast external drives.

For the sake of pure speed and reliability I'd go for a 256GB SSD and an external drive.

Boot Camp will only run off the HDD in a Fusion drive setup.
