So since I did the last 11.1 update my phone has battery issues...AGAIN.

It doesn’t charge to 100% the first day it stopped at like 6% until I did a hard reset and after that it stops at the 90s range then drains to the mid 80s after it being unplugged for 20 min without much use if any. I’m so sick of this junk.

I heard that some phones were unable to charge to 100% while restoring to iCloud. What phone do you have?

It doesn’t reach 100%. Mine stops in the 90s.

Sounds like a bad battery. You do know that batteries become faulty over time. What model phone do you have?

Okay so let me get this straight, it magically over night, literally the next day from going to 11.1 l, the battery failed on this phone?

I HIGHLY doubt it.

Faulty over time? A $950 phones battery better not become faulty after 12 months.

Just because you highly doubt it doesn't mean the battery wasn't already failing before, but now its more noticeable. Once a battery fails its a night and day difference, and yes, it literally can fail overnight.

Sorry, I know that isn’t the issue.

After ios11 thousands of people complained about battery issues and it draining fast. Let me guess, everyone’s battery became faulty over night lol.

Really, thousands of people? Maybe a couple hundred, at most. Otherwise you would here a lot more about these issues, not just on tech forums. I would love for you to point me where "thousands" of people are complaining.

What you are describing is a faulty battery, not software. I have zero battery life issues with iOS 11 on a dozen different iOS devices. Both iPhones and iPads, new and old. Notice how every single person jumped to hardware over software in this thread. That should be a hint.

If you "knew it wasn't the issue" you would have zero point in posting. Because then you would know your 'answer'.

Oh and the proof that it isn’t a hardware issue but software, a full charge the very first time I charged it showed 6% even tho it was completely charged and lasted for several hours. Pretty sure if it was a bad battery that 6% wouldn’t get past 20 min of use.

You are correct, I did say I know the issue. I said software after 11.1 update. Hence the point.

That is not proof. Please familiarize yourself with symptoms of a failing battery. There are many different types of symptoms that can occur when a battery fails.

Until then, I don't think its worth posting here anymore because whatever I say you will disregard and not being the "issue".

iOS 11.1 is not the issue. I have zero problems with over a dozen different devices. Same with others here.

OP, I would drain the battery until the device shuts off by itself, then try to charge it fully to see if it hits 100%. Otherwise I know it sounds crappie but, I would restore as new on iTunes and see if it clears up. If it does, use your backup to set the phone up and see if it works ok. If it messes up after you use your backup, it might be something in the backup that’s corrupted. My 6S and Air2 on 11.1 don’t have any of the issues you described.

Download the app Battery Life Checker from the AppStore. It will tell you how many cycles your battery has gone through and whether or not it is failing. Make an appointment at the Genius bar they can run deeper diagnostics on your battery that Apple no longer allows 3rd party apps to report.

Hmmm....
Still sounds like a bad battery.

Is it possible that you could tell us which iPhone you have?
If it is less than 12 months old - Apple might replace that for you.
True. OP, you've been asked several times times which model phone you have and haven't responded to it. Fair enough I suppose, but this makes it harder to help you.
