I'm wondering how this is possible.
When you use Safari (or other web browser) to log on to iCloud.com, you may be provided an option to "Sign in with passkey". When I use Google Chrome on my Windows laptop, I am provided that option and when I exercise it, a QR code pops up and I use my iPhone to scan the QR and eventually FaceID verification will come up, etc.
I also use a Mac at home, a 2017 MacBook Pro that is on the latest macOS Ventura (can't be upgraded further). When I use Safari to log on to iCloud.com, I am provided with the option for "Sign in with passkey" but when I click on it, it says this option is only available for macOS Sonoma or iOS 17 and up.
WAIT. HOW is it possible that PC laptop running Windows 10 and using Google Chrome can use "Sign in with passkey" but my 2017 MacBook Pro cannot?
Are there workarounds?
