Siri dictation not working in iOS 11

My wife and I are both having a problem with Siri dictation since updating to iOS 11 on our iPhone 7's . It more often than not doesn't work at all. I updated to iOS 11.0.1 hasn't helped. I tried erasing network preferences, cycling dictation on and off, and following all the suggested steps on several internet sites, but it hasn't helped. Anyone else having this problem? Other ideas on how to fix it?

Mine constantly cuts off mid sentence and asks if I'd like to send.

Mine doesn't cut off. Sometimes when I hit the microphone button to dictate, the gray box appears at the bottom of the screen but I get no beeping sound and no white recording line going across the gray box. Clicking on the white microphone button at the bottom middle of the gray box doesn't make the recording start either.

Same problem. I used to be able to rattle off a paragraph of words and it would capture it all. Now I'm lucky if it types out a word or two. The dictation is a huge productivity timesaver, and I hope this gets fixed asap.

TO ALL iOS11 users that have lost the dictation mic icon next to space bar on keyboards.
Here is my answer.

I could not find the dictation option in iOS11.. the fix for me was to go to Settings, Siri & search, and then switch on , press home for seri, mine was off. Even though my say hey seri was on.
When you select press home for Siri you get more options. Go now to settings keyboard and you should noe see the diction option. Now turn it on.
And you should now see the mic next to the space bar.
Been driving me nuts for weeks . Now all ok.

No need to be that complex. I just enable dictation without enabling Siri, and it works. Never tested out long paragraph though.
