I'm not sure where was the best section to ask this question. I'm trying to help a family friend out. They owe me some money every month, and I had originally thought that maybe I could set up a Siri Shortcut for them to automatically Apple Pay Cash me the amount every month on the same day, and they wouldn't have to worry about remembering to send it to me.

I can see in attempting to create a Siri Shortcut, that you can create a Siri Shortcut to send X individual a set amount of money, but there's no way that I can see (with my limited knowledge on how to create Siri Shortcuts) to set it up automatically to send every 30 days, or on the 15th of every month, etc.

Is this a limitation since some people could get a hold of another person's phone and abuse this, or is this a limitation of Siri Shortcuts, or am I just not creating it right?

Can you create a shortcut to send you X amount of money AND create an automation (monthly or any other regular interval you’d like) and in that automation have it run the shortcut?

Thank you! I haven't tested it yet, but I just played around with it, and I think that'll work. THANK YOU! She'll appreciate that so much!

This should theoretically work, however there shouldn’t be a need to create the separate shortcut first. Sending a payment could all be done in an automation.

Good idea. Looks like we can send cash through automation directly using Wallet function.
