Siri stopped working on the last day of beta 3 with “one sec”, “working on it”. Wasn’t fixed on beta 4 on iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Working perfectly on iPad, HomePods etc, all running ios16.

I even tried resetting all settings. Same thing.

Anybody else? I did notice a few tweets about it though

I had the same problem, "working on it"..... This morning it was working again, must have been server side...

Yes, I have been experiencing the same issue. Works 1 in about 20 times lately which is extremely frustrating as I use Siri all the time, particularly when driving. Would either say "something went wrong" before even getting the full command out or "on it......still working......something went wrong"

Been having issues with Safari and mail off and on also, so will be rolling back to iOS 15 for now.

Siri was working fine for me, until the RC. Now it is completely broken and won't respond to anything past hey siri. When I activate, it loads, and immediately quits.

Same here. I think it’s something to do with the actual dictation. I can’t dictate anything in my keyboard either

I actually just found a fix for me. Go into general > Keyboard and then disable both Dictation and Auto-Punctuation. Then restart your phone. Siri and dictation worked after I re-enabled dictation and auto-punctuation.

I actually, reset all the iPhone settings. Re-enabled dictation and didn't work. I'll try doing just the dication settings.

That didn't work either. This makes me want to switch to Android. I know their Google assistant works pretty well.

try this:
1) switch the Siri language from English (US) to English (UK) (or vice versa, depending on which one is working)
2) switch the keyboard from English (US) to English (UK)
3) Turn off Dictation and Auto-Punctuation
4) RESTART PHONE
5) switch all the settings back in reverse order

Same problem for me since ios16 public release. Just get “one moment”, “working on it”, then it quits. No dictation on texts or emails either. Microphone icon just has a small ‘x’ over it. Annoying.

Just
Just did that and now it works when sending a message with Siri, but not with the keyboard icon.

I’m having the same issue. It started sometime after upgrading to 16 public release (I never had the beta) and has persisted through 16.02. I’ve tried all the suggestions in this thread with no luck.

Thank you! I think things have been broken with Siri for me since 16.0. This fixed it for me. Keyboard dictation also works for me again.

This worked for me! Well kind of…when I switched everything back it stopped working again.
I noticed if the language was set to English UK it works. I can also change the accent back to what I’m used to and it still works.
Same for dictation, switched to English UK and instantly worked.

Hope it stays this way or is fixed in the next update! (On ios16.0.2)

I have the same issue and this didn't really work for me. I can get Siri to work if I leave it at UK language. But Dictation still does not work. And if I switch back to English it all stops working again.

In settings try general>keyboard>keyboards and make sure you have English uk as an option.
After that general > keyboard> dictation languages and make sure you have English uk selected.

Once I did this, the stupid thing worked in dictation too lol.

That did it. Thank. you.

What a mess this bug is. I hope 16.1 really does fix it.
