to anyone on 18.2, what's your experience?

I used the ChatGPT app to ask it 'what flag could contain the colours red, blue, black, etc...' and it nailed it.

Does the new Siri answer this, or does it just prompt to launch chat GPT?

...if so, why not just use the ChatGPT app in the first place? knowing siri will trip up at the first fail and then there are more steps to ask ChatGPT makes it useless? Please tell me if i'm missing something!

I have just tried that on mine asking Siri that very question and it automatically went through to ChatGPT and responded. So I assume that Siri (being the usual useless sack of **** that it is) didn’t know and automatically passed it to ChatGPT. I’m good with that.

The new Siri isn't out yet, that's slated for early next year in 18.3 or likely 18.4. chatGPT does answer it but it's within the Siri interface still. That's the convenience of it vs having to open up the app and do the same thing. When I have a question, I just get Siri up and say, "Ask chatGPT ..." and it'll answer my question using chatGPT. I like that I don't even have to unlock my phone if I don't want to. It's super convenient!

I still don't get why Siri is lying to me. She tells me that ChatGPT is not available at this time and suggests I try again later. Yet, I launch the ChatGPT app and ChatGPT is definitely available.

Question for people who have access to ChatGPT on iOS (it’s not available in my language yet) : is this the “real” ChatGPT, or is it an “Apple-ized” version with restrictions? I mean, if you ask the same question on iOS and directly in the ChatGPT app, will you get the same answer?

It's the same as using the app. However, Siri will try to answer before handing it off, so if Siri thinks it knows the answer, it may differ from ChatGPT. There have been many times where I just use the ChatGPT voice shortcut instead of asking Siri because I don't want Siri's opinion.
