I recently read an article at slate.com entitled "Apple Polishers" that was about the authors contempted for media members who praise the release of every new Mac product as the greatest. The author doesn't dislike the Mac products, I think he perfers a wait and see attitude to see if a product is really that great. The article focused on the new v-ipod. But at the end he mentioned several old Mac products that made a big splash when they were introduced but fizzled. One of them being the G4 Cube. Was it a dud? Or did it not do what Apple claimed it could? I remember when it came out and I thought it looked cool but I hadn't switched yet so I didn't think anything of it. Other products listed were: Apple III+, the Lisa, the Macintosh Portable, the Mac TV, the Newton, the Apple G4 Cube, and eWorld. Were all of those let downs?
