I've updated from 14.8.1 straight to 15.3 and noticed that Touch ID on my iPhone SE 2020 is less sensitive. Before, it would unlock almost instantly and I would never get rejections unless my hands are wet or something like that. Now it happens almost all the time.

It also takes longer to read the fingerprint. For example if the phone is asleep, by pressing the home button I would wake it up and unlock instantly. It was so fast, you didn't even notice that it was locked. Now it's like a two-step process. It wakes up, and then reads the print.

Did anyone notice this?

Everything, absolutely everything is slower on iOS 15 on my iPhone 7 than it was on iOS 14. That’s not really possible except it’s a fact. I’m convinced there’s secret code that deliberately delays everything on older devices so that people will be inclined to purchase new hardware.

I’ve had problems with an iPhone 8. It will actually fail to use the saved fingerprint after a number of days and I have to re-register it. Also slow to unlock. Have you tried IOS 15.3.1 yet?
