I am looking to create a hackintosh out of the OSX snow lepird install disk (given w/ my computer) and a AMD based HP Pavilion desktop that is about 6.5 yrs old. Any suggestions on how to do it? Thanks

You might have better luck at a Hackintosh specific site like http://www.tonymacx86.com.

Two issues that make it not as easy as it could be.

    1) You want to use a grey disc that came with the machine. These tend to be specific to the machine they came with.
    2) The system you want to install on doesn't look much like a Mac at all with the AMD processor. (All Macs have been Intel based).

Your best be might be installing 10.6 in a VM.

Better off with insanelymac.com they are not douches there who will ban you for a queston on a non-supported configuration like the OPs will be.

You're probably right. I just used the first link that came to mind.

This doesn't sound like a Kakewalk to me. :p

You need a custom kernel you are going to have to Google it and decide as there are a few out there. Both hacking Oshkosh sites are full of Db's one is not better than the other
