Ever since doing a fresh install of Snow Leopard onto my Mac Pro I've had a few small bugs here and there (nothing too serious) they would go away after a reboot and usually never to be seen again.

Although I'm running into this one problem whenever I try to empty my trash it won't delete the items and gives me a message, of course this does't always happen but it seems like it is happing more and more frequently.

The only ways I can delete the files is to use Terminal or to move the files out of the trash and delete the files one at a time but the latter solution doesn't always work.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and/or possibly have a fix for this?
Thanks

Select Finder from your menu bar.
Select "Empty Trash" while holding down the option key.

This works well for large files, maybe it will help.

Thanks but it didn't work, got the dreaded message again. :(

I'm attempting a Secure Empty Trash right now, it seems to be working.
