I've grown fond of having all my widgets on a single page and I'm not sure about having them in different places, does iOS14 have the option to keep the widgets right swipe page? Or are we losing this forever? I don't think it will be the same even if I try to put all my widgets in the same place, for one I won't be able to scroll down an infinite list of widgets anymore. Currently I have enough widgets to take 3-4 screens up, but I can just scroll up and down on a single page, does this mean I am going to have to take up 3 or 4 home screens to get the same result?

Yeah you can have it as you can now or drag to home screen

Will the "Widgets" page go away/disappear if nothing is on it? That's what I'd like to see, a way to turn it off.

The widget page remains. The only difference in iOS 14 is that with the iPhone, you can now place them on the home screen. Not just it the widgets page.

In iOS14 public beta yes but will it still be there in final iOS14 and maybe Apple will move away from the Today View widgets since they will now become available on the home screens. I hope they will stay in the Today View as well since for eg Music Launcher and Launcher the interactive functionalities are much better then on the homescreen widgets.

Let's hope the existing option remains since not everyone would necessarily want to have widgets on their home screen.

I assume it will stay because I assume I am not the only one who likes to access it as the "Today" screen by swiping from the Lock screen also.

I’d like to see a way to customise the Lock Screen widgets page separately. I now have Weather on my home screen, but to access it from the Lock Screen I also need it on the widgets page. When unlocked, there’s an ugly/unnecessary duplication of widgets as I swipe left and right :(

I rather would like to disable the widget page and swap it with the app library

I would rather like to ;) :
- disable the App Library where it currently is but instead optionally included it in the Spotlight search area
- have the widgets at hand with a swipe down to quickly access them instead of seeing an empty notification screen first and swipe once again to see the Today View widgets

By reading the Apple developer page about the new widgets it also mentions that the widgets in the Today View / Notification Center area will remain in iOS14 for both iOS and iPadOS14. Not sure how things will go in future iOS versions though.

Just tested it. If you delete all widgets from the widget-page you will just see the search bar.

IMHO there just should be an option to turn it on and off, but we're talking about Apple here, who are very conservative about switches regarding the UI. We still don't have a switch to place icons wherever we want, which would be very simple to implement.

I would rather see the new App Library being optional and then instead implemented in the Spotlight search area and have the Today View widgets at hand with a swipe down to quickly access them instead of seeing an empty notification screen first and swipe once again to see the Today View widgets.

But as you said it's Apple software so probably both won't be happening unfortunately.

As far as place icons where we want that is indeed a shame that we still can't (or at least not in iOS14 public beta) but there is of course still this workaround.
