Thanks Apple!

I love having a useless phone where wifi cuts off every 3 minutes.

Actually using the Internet on your phone is overrated anyway. And who has time to watch a video that’s longer than 3.5 minutes?

Wonderful quality control. Better hurry up and hit send before wifi cuts out again for the 700th time in the past 30 minutes.

Woah there, you didn’t have to provide that much detail on the troubleshooting steps you’ve tried! New router, wireless encryption type, hard reset, fresh install — boy, you did it all.

And of course Apple couldn’t help because the four month warranty on the iPhone had expired!

Thanks, Apple.

Not enough information here. What model iPhone? You could post your issue more specifically, there are knowldgeable forum members who could help you on this forum alone.

Hmmm…and here I am almost three years later with an iPhone 6s+ sitting jailbroken on iOS 9.0.2, still getting great cellular and WiFi.

Bet this is UIE - User Induced Error.

I bet you are wrong. This is a known issue with 11.4.1.

Google it.

Sounds like user error.

My error was updating to 11.4.1, which has this known issue of destroying your phone’s wifi.

Or I guess you could say my error was buying an iPhone in the first place.

Hmmm... sounds like you didn’t update to 11.4.1 which is the entire point of this thread.

Thanks for the contribution though. I’m sure apple is happy to know you have to jailbreak your phone and stay on 4 year old software to have wifi that actually works.

Don't use Google, never will. After 12 posts no one knew except you so do not know about it being a "known issue". I bet Google could find both sides of about anything.

Use whatever search engine you want. It’s a known issue with 11.4.1 and there is no “both sides”. 11.4.1 destroys wifi on some phones. Full stop.

Are you talking about the outdated iPhone 6 you bought in 2018?

Btw I’m currently using a backup iPhone 6 on 11.4.1 and other than being slow, I have no issues. Before that iPhone 8 Plus 11.4.1 no issues. Clearly the WiFi issue isn’t a “known issue.”

LOL!!!

I jailbreak because I want to and to make things the way I want them, not because WiFi or cellular isn't working.

I have an iPhone 5 on 10.3.1 and a 6th Gen iPad on 11.3 and they also perform flawlessly - even before I jailbroke them too.

Whether or not there is an issue with 11.4.1, my point is this: I didn't upgrade.

Say whatever you will about not upgrading (security, features, etc) staying where I am means I am not experiencing problems. I made a choice, for my own reasons, to stay where I'm at and because I'm not on the bleeding edge of upgrades I am not chasing problems.

Update to iOS 12 beta and see if it fixes it.

That maybe true what you’re posting, but why could you not have explained this in your opening post in this thread? That would have been a lot more helpful for others understand versus you just make a complaint with no information as to what problems you were experiencing in the first place.

It was a vent thread. There is no known fix to the issue, so my phone is a $600 paper weight at least until iOS 12 is released. And even then there is no guarantee this issue will be fixed.

Can I update now? I thought I had to wait until next week.

There is no known fix to the issue

Yet, someone just suggested that you should upgrade to iOS 12 beta to see if that resolves the issue in a few posts above. That Was my point, you could have mentioned your problems earlier on from the beginning and it would have clarified better.
