I have no idea how accurate this is. The girl I talked to has been wonderfully helpful, she took down my phone number and has called me twice today to give me updates about my online order. Don't kill the messenger here. I ordered my phone on the 11th at about 1:30am. 3GS Black 32GB from the ATT website. I am an upgrade. I sit at "in progress" on the website. I called the Consumer Sales line at about 1:30pm today and talked to a girl there who said she'd do some research on my order and get back to me. Yeah right, is what I was thinking. She called about 20 minutes ago and told me she didn't have an update, and that she'd keep checking my order and alert me when it shipped. I was suprised she called, and thanked her. .....she just called me back a few minutes ago. She said she talked to whatever department was in charge of filling orders for the phone and they are going to be shipped PRIORITY mail at 5am on Friday morning.....for a Saturday or Monday delivery. I told her I'd heard many different things and some people already got tracking numbers from UPS. She told me that UPS has an agreement with ATT and they are to hold the phones until Friday. She said they could not break the street date of the phone, since they have an agreement with Apple. Honestly, I don't really believe all of what she said, that'd make for some REALLY angry people and the emails we've received have already told us it could be as early as/on Friday. I dunno. I think I'm just irritated that I didn't have the foresight to order from Apple (this is my first iphone, didn't know ATT handled it so poorly) and it seems like ATT dropped the ball on this. I sure hope I get it Friday.
