for my 160GB classic. I guess there really isn't anything much out there yet. Once all the usual manufacturers start producing something, what do you all recommend?

ANY OLD 5th gen 80 gig case will work this ipod is just about .4mm smaller than the last 80 gig same as the new 80 gig compared the old 30 gig

Not quite any, more like any soft cases for the old 60/80GB. Hard cases will not be good at all.
Or if you want a new case specifically for the iPod classic, keep checking iLounge, as they'll be the first to have details and reviews.
Griffin have just updated there whole lineup, too.
