any reason not to get the Verizon model over the ATT which is the service I have. I assume I’d get the Qualcomm vs intel or is this still even an issue?
The Verizon is unlocked?

Ordering from Apple, yes.So you have to have a Verizon account to get it?
This is not correct, Verizon has had VoLTE for years now. Besides, if he uses it on AT&T it won't make a difference since AT&T is GSM.Remember, you cannot browse and talk at the same time on a Verizon phone when using a cellular connection. Think getting directions or doing GoToMeeting while on a call. Dealer killer for my workday.
Yes, it will ask for your Verizon account info.So you have to have a Verizon account to get it?
dang, that's still a thing right now?Remember, you cannot browse and talk at the same time on a Verizon phone when using a cellular connection. Think getting directions or doing GoToMeeting while on a call. Dealer killer for my workday.
Yeah the 6s I mean. Okay I hadn’t heard of anything changing. Was just wondering. The Apple 6S supported both CDMA and GSM. That's back when Apple and Qualcomm were on good terms and not suing each other.

This is not true at all. I make calls and use data at the same time frequently. This hasn't been true for years.Remember, you cannot browse and talk at the same time on a Verizon phone when using a cellular connection. Think getting directions or doing GoToMeeting while on a call. Dealer killer for my workday.
For the iPhone 8 you could get a carrier unlocked version right out of the gate; I would imagine it will be the same with the iPhone X.any reason not to get the Verizon model over the ATT which is the service I have. I assume I’d get the Qualcomm vs intel or is this still even an issue?

This couldn't be more wrong. That's only on a CDMA connection. LTE has made this a thing of the past for years.Remember, you cannot browse and talk at the same time on a Verizon phone when using a cellular connection. Not on Sprint.LTE has made this a thing of the past for years.

Yes on Sprint. You can use data and voice at the same time. VoLTE and LTE data can be used simultaneously and if the carrier doesn't support VoLTE then you can have LTE and CDMA going at the same time. CDMA can't do both at the same time. Not on Sprint.
Sprint doesn't have VoLTE...Yes on Sprint. You can use data and voice at the same time. VoLTE and LTE data can be used simultaneously and if the carrier doesn't support VoLTE then you can have LTE and CDMA going at the same time. CDMA can't do both at the same time.
Exactly, read the rest of my comment. They have LTE and CDMA so the network can handle voice and data at the same time.Sprint doesn't have VoLTE...
But the iPhone WILL NOT do LTE and CDMA simultaneously.Exactly, read the rest of my comment. They have LTE and CDMA so the network can handle voice and data at the same time.
The Verizon model will work on any US carrier as it’s bo th gsm and cdma. My 7 Plus is a Verizon phone running on t-mobile. Unlocked / T-Mobile / AT&T are GSM only and won’t run on Verizon. Can you switch a phone from att to Verizon? I thought only the 6 could do that.
yes it does. But the iPhone WILL NOT do LTE and CDMA simultaneously.
