The movie is called Fitna, I saw it last year, maybe streamed from it own website after reading about his ban from the UK, there is a lot of examples of Islamic extremism portrayed in the video and no good examples of passive Islamist views, which is undoubtedly why this is being considered to be a racial hate piece of work.

Lady Cox went and invited Geert back to the UK after his ban was overturned, and they all sat and had a look at the video, which, lets be honest, they could have just done online anyway. So what was the point of all the fuss. Point scoring I guess.

The report mentions the "English Defence League", who are they? Are they related to the BNP in some way?

The BNP tried to tell everyone they'd cleaned up their act and show they weren't a bunch of marching racists.....and the EDL, whose members appear to be just that, immediately appeared. Funny that...

Although I deplore Mr. Wilders views on many a subject I did completely disagree with Jacqui Smith's ridiculous decision to ban him from the UK. Maybe now he's been here and shown the film we can all forget about him again.

Wasn't the BNP recently forced to drop their "whites only" membership rules? I thought I read something like that a few weeks ago

Yep. Hopefully now they'll end up with 300,000 members from ethnic minorities that will force them to change all their policies. The original white supremacists will all leave, but they won't be able to take the name with them, meaning all their hard PR work will be undone :D

Never heard of them prior to this to be honest, but a quick google reveal them to be a 'counter-Jihad movement'. (Hate googling stuff like that in case I get flagged by the FEDS!) Whatever a counter-Jihad movement is I've no idea.

They do a mean range of operational clothing on eBay. Fancy a stealthy black hoodie to hide away in the night? Yours for 30quid.

    Ah Geert, my old pal.

Nothing quite like a former coloniser that raped and ravaged so many lands giving out about their culture being invaded is there?

The English Defence League grew around a Facebook group and their main idea is Islamophobia,i.e. England is being taken over by Muslims,Sharia law will be imposed shortly and other such bollocks. They are made up mainly of football hooligans and some ex-military.They insist they are not racists and make great play of pushing their few Asian/Black supporters to the forefront when the media is around. They have links to U.S. fundamentalist Christian groups. While there has been physical confrontations between them and the BNP there is some crossover between the two. They for instance tend to be supporters of Israel whereas the BNP are not.At present they have no real political presence but are more interested in confronting Muslim groups on the streets.I find that quite worrying as young Muslims are not going to allow groups like this to attack them without fighting back and things could get very out of hand very quickly.

( I should add that there are Scottish and Welsh versions as well along with links to Unionists in the North of Ireland)

it all gets a bit surreal....football hooligans turning to political extremism in order to have an excuse to set up fights for fun

Today's EDL march in Bolton was confronted by large numbers of UAF (unite against fascism).Fifty odd arrests,EDL being escorted by police out of the town centre. It appears police were aware that large numbers of Asian youth were gathering as evening approached and decided for once to do the right thing.
