Interested to see if the pro will be the market for current air 2 users?

will price be a deciding factor here?

i plan to buy an iPad Pro, and then I will decide to keep the iPad Air2 in addition to the iPad Pro. Might keep it as a "Kindle", or pass the iPad2 to my kid. Right now my 12" Macbook seems to be my go to "couch potato" device of choice. The iPad Pro may actually replace my late 2008 Macbook Pro.

I wish someone would post one of those mockups of the iPad Pro in full size so I could print it out and see just what the form factor looks like in my hands.

My only concern with the pro is portability without a bag. I currently take my air 2 with me everywhere in hand. If the pro isn't that inconvenient to carry around by hand, then it will likely replace my air 2. Of course, Im waiting for the in-store demo before I even decide to purchase the pro though, just for the size in general.

I will try the pro as I'm interested if it can replace my Mac desktop computer.

Probably not but no harm in trying, as I do very little on my Mac that I don't
do on my iPad Air 2,

Thinking of getting the cheapest pro with wifi only for use at home and keeping the iPad for out and about. Can't wait to try the pro.

Naw, there was a point where I gave up the larger form factor to go with the Mini until the Air 2 came out. I just recently bought a Mini 4 to use alongside the Air 2 and I have a 12" MacBook which fits my "larger" screen portable use needs.

I use my iPads mainly as content consumption devices and I want to be able to do that comfortably in bed and around the house. I find browsing the web and watching videos already decent on the Mini 4 and Air 2 and I'm not really sure if I want a larger and heavier device for those couple of things I use it for. If the iPad Pro had a better aspect ratio for videos I might have considered it, but it probably would have made it objectively worse in other areas.

Thought about getting the mini 4, never mind the pro but the air 2 is the right size. All depends on how you plan to use it though.

If I didn't have a MacBook I would consider the pro. However the pro is too big for me to carry around everywhere, which is what I do with my air2

I plan on handing down my Air 2 once I get my hands on an iPad Pro.

I'd prefer the bigger screen and processing power, and I plan on carrying it along with me when I travel just like I did with my Air 2.

Considering that I was able to purchase the Air 2 for nearly 1/2 the price of the iPad Pro with comparable capacity, it's easy to say "no". I won't be selling my Air 2 for the Pro. Especially when even the best (obviously opinion) keyboard option for the Air 2 is still quite a bit less than Apple's inferior keyboard cover.

I already sold my iPad air will go on 10/26 to check out the surface 4 and hope that Apple will start the pre order of the iPad pro soon so i will be checking it too and buy the one that i will like more, if i don't like them both I will go back to the iPad air 2 or 3

Don't know the reason for the key board, at list for me I like to use the tablet as a tablet, If I want to use laptop I have the MBP no one can replace that key board and the truck, and on the tablet internal key board I have the option of motley language that I use alot.

Not really sure what I am going to do. Currently I have an iPad air 2 with unlimited data. I also have a 15" rmbp. When it was first announced I was planning on selling my air 2 and rmbp and buying an LTE iPad pro and a 5k iMac .. but not really sure now

I have to agree since I also got the Air 2 for a great price. I checked out the Samsung 12.2 Pro I had at one time but the size put me off.

I can get by without a keyboard on the Air 2 but not on the Surface Pro. The latter is much better with a keyboard.

I need to see and heft the Pro before I decide if it will replace my Air 1. (Sorry for jumping into a thread about the 2 when I have the 1. The 2 didn't seem worth trading up my 1.)

I like the Air for travel, and for streaming video and chess when I don't feel like sitting at the computer at home. Laptops and even netbooks are too heavy for travel, for me. Trading up to the pro will depend on its look and feel and heft. At home I read on the Kindle DX, which is easier on the eyes, but for travel a lighted screen is better, and it's one device rather than two, for weight. So the DX now stays at home.

The Pro might become my travel computer and I sell the Air.
Or the Pro might become my at-home-in-the-easy-chair computer, and the Air could remain my travel computer.
Or I might not buy the Pro at all, if it seems too heavy and bulky even for at-home use.

I need to see and heft it to decide. But I am rather excited by the idea.

Not sure.

Love the Air 2 apart from the battery life. But the Pro screen will be excellent for music, video, photo, PDF, everything! So will probably sell, but only having lived with the Pro for a bit. Bulkiness, weight and battery are the three main tests, I think.

I am tempted to upgrade my Air 2 to a Pro mainly because of the pen. I am going to write my master thesis this spring and I know I am going to make A LOT of drawings which is why I would like to create them digitally instead of the whole scanning -> Tracing with Illustrator and so on that is needed with paper drawings. But it all comes down to how well the pen works with the screen. I am also considering a Surface Pro 4 so I will also have to check that out first

Already sold my air 2 in preparation:D

My Air 2 never left the house. I have a Mini 4 as my portable iPad so I will be getting the Pro for my "at home" iPad and for movies when I travel.

i will be getting the iPad Pro and giving my Air 2 to a family member. I'm looking forward to when pre-orders start :D hopefully soon, but maybe we will have to wait a bit longer like with the Apple Watch, when Apple said "early 2015" i'm hoping it's sooner rather than later tho!
