To be fair, it's the developers that make the many apps that make most of Apple's platform so successful. Give them the :apple:WATCHes first, let them make the games and apps, and you have more reason to enjoy yours.

Yeah, I just received that email. It's for a 42mm Apple Watch Sport with Blue Sports Band. I have until April 23 at 10 am PDT to respond. It's guaranteed to ship by April 28. Developers were chosen at random.

developers and celebrities....

i'm more than a bit annoyed by this....

did you order a 42mm sport watch with a blue band? Has apple pushed your order back because of this?

I got the email too.

I think it's a great idea, as in the end it'll mean that apps will be arriving quicker to everyone's watches. I can understand why some would feel upset, but it's for the greater good!

I'm not applying for one as I already have a white 42mm Sport on order. Fingers crossed for Friday delivery.

So Apple can sell additional watches and deliver them prior to mine, however, they can't get someone who has already paid their watch before 5/13-5/27? Wtf Apple?

Rest assured, I've already emailed my displeasure about this to Tim Cook.

If your watch hasn't shipped then you haven't paid for anything at this point.

Except that:
1. It's on a gift card. Apple has my money.
2. Apple has already taken a portion of the funds for AppleCare.

So yeah, I've paid for something.

Im ok with this. I'll live with my June shipping date (42mm SG Black) and hopefully this will give us some new/updated apps to play with quicker.

Rather than have the developers wait for their watch and have apps delayed; i think it's a good idea by Apple and taking care of the people who make the apps that make their hardware.
