Since the news first broke of a fifth person, the song from Hamilton has been sick in my head. Now Randy Rainbow has fulfilled all my wishes, and brought my fantasies to life.

Cute reference. I disliked Hamilton. The reviews were more than kind; it was grossly overrated in my opinion.

Good lord, could only get about 30 seconds into the singing and I had to shut it off. Too grating a voice.

So help us out here, who's your favorite band? Probably no one in your temporary home town, right? ;)

I loved Hamilton. Listen to it regularly. It ranks right up there with Evita.

Randy Rainbow has an amazing voice. I was so glad he did this.

My favorite band? Too many to list...

What do you imagine my favorite band would be? And what's this about my "temporary hometown"? You lost me there.

I thought you were not planning on staying in portland "forever"...
    Might have got wrong impression.
No clue what your favorite band might be.
Just curious after your comment about the thread's video offering.

I haven't updated my location in a few years, I'm about as far from Portland as one can get, almost in the other Portland (the one Portland, OR was named after).

I wish I could have stayed in Portland forever, crazy politics but some of the most beautiful country anyone could ask for. Maybe I'll retire there someday.

My favorite band, like I said, tough call. Maybe the Clash?

That would be Portland, Dorset, I suspect.

Musicals are not your thing, eh? Sometimes it's better to remain silent than to show you're heading for the sake of hate and not because you have any subject matter knowledge.

Huh, what on earth gives you the idea I don't enjoy musicals? I enjoy them very much, thank you. Why else would I have sat through the hideous Hamilton? My daughter actually loved it and put the album onto our Apple Music. I'm so tempted to delete it but I respect her tastes even though they're simple, unsophisticated, and putrid. Oh yeah, speaking of putrid...Hamilton closes Aug 5th at the Orpheum (San Francisco) and opening on August 15th is Something Rotten. How amusing is that? :D

By the way, I complemented the thread for its cuteness in the Hamilton - Trump reference.

Something Rotten is a genius show. You won't like it either, so save your shekels.

Not to deprive that show of its revenues but we could all just watch for free the Something Rotten now continuing to play in this administration.. or try to get Congress to focus on its ugly realities long enough to consider some cast changes.

Home street home, there's a musical I can handle.

    Warning: harsh language

Heh, maybe s/b added to school programs on substance abuse prevention...

Ever wonder what Congress and K street all getting clean and sober would do for the budget?

Ohhhh. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Since you were mistaken about my fondness of musicals maybe you are mistaken on whether I would like Something Rotten. But out of curiosity why would I dislike it? I was particularly amused with the I Hate Shakespeare scene.

Oh yeah....I saw High School Musical....twice, mind you. It was tolerable lol. It was definitely better than Hamilton.

Ha ha, nope, not my style at all. Stiles me as someone sprinkling potpourri on a turd to try making it smell less.

Without much thought the obvious ones...Phantom, Le Mis, Fiddler, Man of La Mancha, Cats, Anne. Not a musical: Riverdance.
