I would have thought this would go unnoticed because no one is actually watching Bristol Palin's TV show, but I was wrong. Someone is actually watching it, because today brings us this gem.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/22/tripp-palin-******-gay-slur-bristol-palin-_n_1693681.html

Go to the link for video and to find out what word was actually used, in case you couldn't guess.

Kids just don't learn this stuff on their own. I know at 3 years old, I didn't know any swear words or derogatory slurs. Kids repeat what they hear adults say. It makes you wonder if that's the kind of language used on a daily basis in the Palin household. It's also probably the first time a 3 year old has to be bleeped on TV.

Soooo...they're not raising this kid just to be a bigot, they're also raising him to be stupid.

And somebody actually watches this crap?

I saw that on Gawker this morning, I was thinking the same as everyone else. How did she get a TV show and is anybody really watching it?

Watching that short clip I realized those girls are just as annoying as Paris Hilton, but at least Paris takes her clothes off in front of the camera.

What I think just happened is the media has made any people aware of a TV show that nobody would have ever known about anyway.

I imagine this show would be less popular than the Sarah Palin show.

He's a Pailn. I don't think not raising him to be stupid is an option.

What a family. It's bad enough they've taught a kid to be a bigot, you'd think they would have had the scene edited.

Yeah with all those right wingers controlling the TV industry, they must have over looked that one.

    Two words: Creative Control.

I'm pretty sure they have control over what's going on on their show. If they do, it was either naively ignored, or stupidity. 51%/49 for the latter, but benefit of the doubt has the former gaining.

Either way, as a parent, she should damn well know better.

I dislike the Palin stuff as much as the next guy but you know. History shows us that kids learn about cussing from their parents all the time. It's not something new or unusual.

    Just plain old fashioned blather.

I was prepared to say something similar until I learned it was a homophobic insult.

I admit, I slip up once in a great while and use a four letter word within hearing distance of the grandkids, but one thing they will never learn in our house is ignorant pejoratives for gays, blacks and other kinds of people.
