FYI, this is being imposed as it has been determined that not only am I impossible to catch, but that the combined embarrassment factor of their losing and the awesome factor of my winning results in brain asplosion.

Did someone slip her drugs?! Geesh. She contradicts herself too. My God bless her .

Once crime rates go up, she'll be out.

So just how does she expect the police to do that one part of their job that involves apprehending criminals? Or perhaps she wants to turn her town into a live action game of Pac Man?

If I were a criminal, I'd mug her and run.

    Okay, so I went back.

    Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............

    (pause for stunned disbelief)

    (pause for brain overload)

    (battling to regain senses)

    (battle won)

    WTF was that???

Without a doubt, that is one of the flat-out dumbest things I've ever seen in my life.

What is it with South Carolina? It has some of the greatest areas of poverty in the country; some of the worst health care statistics; and arguably the loopiest politicians (Mark Sanford, Joe Wilson, Jim DeMint, Lindsey Graham, and now this woman).

Dear God...they make Texas look normal.

    Y'all don't know. You just don't know.

We have some of the most colorful, interesting, and engaging politicians out here. This nice sweet lady, who I will generously describe as eloquence-challenged, thinks she is doing the right thing. I think. She wasn't clear, to say the least.

At least this one didn't cost the state tens of thousands of dollars on a bootie call to Argentina, or chartering planes to shuttle around Europe. That "gentleman" needs to pull himself up by his bootstraps and take a hike. He's done, and we are done with him.

I'm glad you said that. I had a big fuzzy "You Lie" all ready, in case it was needed.

Seriously, we have some challenges here, to say the least. There is progress, however. I'm happy to report that in 2000, the law prohibiting miscogynation was repealed, for example. And the ubiquitous flag (don't get me started on the flag) has been pulled down from the Capitol.

    Yep, real progress.

Ok, really serious now. It's not all that bad. Come to Myrtle beach, it's surprising cosmopolitan. We even welcome canadians.... :)

Don't chase after crooks with a police car; don't run after a crook.

    Just shoot 'em.

City workers comp insurance premiums plummet.
Homeowners/renter insurance premiums in her jurisdiction skyrocket due to rise in crime.

Yeah!!! Less "big government" when you cost shift responsibility to private enterprise (read: citizens).

Doesn't this sound sort of like when the Penguin gets himself elected Mayor of Gotham City?

    miscegenation

You know, not to be pedantic about spelling. I just caught myself wondering what "miscogynation" could be. Thinking badly of women?

Nevertheless, this certainly is a strange and enduring tradition with South Carolina politics. At least you get "colorful." Back in Alabama we just elected all our lyingest, cheatingest, stealingest preachers to public office and somehow managed to be shocked, every single time, that a preacher of all people could behave that way.

You are correct. I was spelling while cooking while on the iPhone. Spelled right, wrong word. Good catch.
