Is it possible? I don't use Siri, nor do I care to use it, mostly due to the fact that I have to be connected to the internet and Apple servers to use it. But I do like the speak to text feature.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Activate Siri and just on't use it. When you want to type, tap the microphone and go from there. Yes, still uses Siri servers, but in my experience it is infinitely more reliable than having Siri look things up for you.

You can use things like Dragon, as mentioned, but those aren't integrated into your keyboard. They essentially have you rely on copying and pasting from one app to the other. Unless you are reciting paragraphs at a time, this saves you no time at all.

Just copy the text in the app.

I guess that seems like the best solution. I tried the Dragon Dictation app and it's pretty much pointless. My only problem is that I have an action assigned to the short and long home button hold in activator which will then bring up Siri when I don't want it to. I was just seeing if there was anyway around that. Maybe I'll have to reassign those actions then.

    Thanks for the help

What's the concern with Siri being connected to the internet?
