I've recently started using Spotlight as a quick & dirty iTunes launcher (CMD+Space, type the first few letters of a song) but I've noticed that Spotlight doesn't really feel like playing nice with a chunk of my music. As far as I can tell, all of this music is from two computers ago- I had it all on a G4 tower, then on an iBook, and now. The music that was transferred from the G4 tower to the iBook refuses to be indexed (it was before Migration Assistant, I think, so I had to use Target Disk mode to drag the entire library in at that time).

I've tried everything: rebuilding the iTunes library, drilling down to the folder manually to open the files in iTunes, forcing Spotlight to reindex the whole drive in Terminal. Nothing works. The files are basically invisible to Spotlight.

Does anyone know how I can get these files to show up in Spotlight?
