Since the sprint's iPhone 4s is also GSM and supports all US frequencies do you think it will be possible to unlock the sprint Iphone and use it on at&t's network?

not even if its unlocked?
You can't get it unlocked, so it will still default to the Sprint network.

They will unlock the SIM slot for international carriers, so you don't have to use one of Sprint's partners, but you can't get it unlocked in the same way a GSM phone is unlocked.

i believe a CDMA Iphone 4s FULL unlock is coming out soon with gevey..this will make the phone useable inside the USA with any carrier..youll be able to switch back and forth

Even with a ultrasnow unlock a Verizon/Sprint iPhone will not work on At&ts GSM network.
Actually according apple, all iPhone 4s are identical, just assigned to different networks. If unlocked by the carrier, the iPhone will work with any of Sprint, Verizon, ATT, or Tmobile.

Maybe, but Sprint will not unlock the SIM slot for domestic use - so, while your statement may be true in theory, in reality, it will not work.

This is what Apple said, so why not?

You act like I didn't know that the iPhone 4S were identical. If it were so easy to take a unlocked iPhone 4S to use on a CDMA network then it would have been done already. Unlocked 4S were released at the start but I haven't heard of anyone taking an at&t 4S and using it with any CDMA networks.
