I wanted to sell my Sprint iPhone 4s to my buddy who is on Verizon. If He puts his Verizon SIM card in the Sprint phone, will it work on Verizon's network?

Incorrect...The Verizon iPhone 4S has a Verizon/Vodafone sim card in it for GSM roaming but for these purposes that will not work.

No, you can't use a sprint iPhone on Verizon or vice versa.

For the purpose of this. That point is moot.

Verizon is a joke about allowing devices on their network. Just as little as 3 years ago Verizon in the middle of the iPhone fiasco (about AT&T refusing to unlock iPhone in 2009). Verizon promised to allow "unlocked CDMA" devices on their network.

All a scam. Notice Verizon says "verizon certified devices " now. So Verizon determines what can be on their network.
