    I can't choose...
The prices are almost the same.

What would you recommend, Corsair Force F115 or Intel 320?

Vertex 3 or Force 3 aren't an option because there's a lot of problems related to them right now!

The SSD is going in a 2011 15" MBP, 2.2GHz.

The Intel 320 was a great SSD until reports of the firmware bug started coming. Although the extent of the bug is still not known but i would still stay away from the Intel 320. The Samsung 470 is currently the most reliable SSD you can buy so i say go for that, the speeds are the same as the Intel 320 so you wot have to sacrifice the speed for reliability.

    Thanks guys.
I'm aware of that 8MB Intel bug, but it's quite rare. I'm also familiar with that Samsung drive but I'm not very keen to it.

I've seen 5 reports of Intel 320 failure here on Macrumors alone in the last two weeks... maybe it's not that rare.

What don't you like about the Samsung? It's easily faster than a 25nm Sandforce 1200 drive like the Corsair F115.

A 34nm SF-1200 drive would be good competition to a Samsung 470, like the Vertex 2 here: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/storage/intel-ssd-320.aspx

A good alternative SSD can be Crucial M4 128GB. They work perfect in Macs with firmware 2.

Are there still a lot of faults with Vertex 3?

It's extremely rare. Even with the known issue, they are still the most dependable drives out there.

5 failures on Macrumors in two weeks "extremely rare"? I guess we all have different ideas about what extremely rare means. Examples:

Most dependable? Samsung 470 and Intel X25-m. They do better on Newegg too.
Sofar Vertex 3 seems to be doing ok if you exclude all the problems that have been solved with firmware 2.09. It does better than Agility 3 and Vertex 2. It's no Samsung 470 or Intel X25-m though.

Crucial M4 is a more reliable alternative so Vertex 3.
