Great, all for it, BUT I thought Affirmative Action programs, like these, were no longer acceptable in the US.

I liked my interpreter, he was a good dude, last I heard he was living in Arizona. Now I'm going to have to try and find his e-mail address.

In the part you quoted. That's 10,000 world wide, not the US only.

I'm allergic to the coffee bean. =/

As for Starbucks, they can do whatever they want. If they start laying off US workers though, that'll be ridiculous.

Another example of Trump at work; inspiring business leaders, even very liberal ones, to Make America Great Again.

Not that I'd call the majority of Starbucks' liquid offerings coffee, but to hate all coffee?:confused:

not much anymore or I should say that I can drink. my body hates carbs of any kind so that eliminates anything with sugar and acidic things give me heartburn if have very much. so a energy drink and a diet pop a day at the most. water for the most part.

Well water is better for the body! I can't have any caffeine because it interferes with my heart medication and I'm allergic to coffee. So I hear you on being limited with what I can drink.

I'd be sad if I got heartburn though because I love orange juice.

My bet is it isn't the carbs as much as the chemicals we put in our food in the USA. I have been in Europe and eating stuff that normally would give me all sorts of issues with no problem. Sadly we can't get anything without having some form of corn whatever in it or something to keep it from expiring. Bakery bread here dies within about 2 days if not eaten. We buy what we need and enjoy...

Sucks that you have those issues. Coffee is a necessity for me. ;)

I take it most of those refugees will be hired from Starbucks stores OUTSIDE of the USA. You know…. like all those 2,500 SBX stores in Aleppo and Mecca and Benghazi. Although I suppose that drinking coffee during Ramadan is punishable by death (by stoning) for most Saudis. Unless you're a 1st degree Saudi royal, in which case you can drink anything you want in public, even Everclear or tequila, without repercussions. :p

Uhh, you realize that iced tea is one of the greatest refreshingly cold drinks ever invented by mankind our Alien Overlords, right?

And an iced latte, you don't like those? Are you communist?

A tax dodging company swoops in as a PR stunt with an offer of crappy jobs that were already planned and pays stuff all.

Please excuse me for a moment whilst I worship at the altar of a parasitic company that represents the worst aspects of globalisation. When I'm done can somebody please pass me a barf bag?

    Brutal.

As for Starbucks? Meh. Overpriced and always too political. We have Dunkin Donuts anyway.

I probably been inside a Starbucks only 5 times in my entire life. I do like their bottled ice coffee you get at any store. But never been impressed with anything from Starbucks stores. Local bodegas and diners make better cappuccino for much cheaper.
